Catarina Morais (she/her) is a Portuguese, London-based illustrator.

Before settling in the UK, Catarina started her artistic journey by studying at an Arts secondary school, Escola Artística António Arroio. There she studied Jewellery and Drawing, which allowed her to develop her interests in Design and Visual Communication. Catarina is now based in South London, and graduated with a First Class Honours in BA (Hons) Illustration from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL.

Catarina's work involves bright colours, packed compositions and funky proportions. The characters, with tiny heads and “way-too-long” limbs, interact in order to portray the movement of the fast pace of her daily life in London. Catarina's playful mark-making allows her to add humour and character to a variety of processes - traditional and digital drawing, printmaking, ceramic work, etc. She also uses her work to spread social change and works with brands that support inclusive ideals.

Catarina has done work for Tate, Mr Jones Watches, Human After All,  Central 23, NinasNotJustWomen and Lisbon Fashion Week.
